La Gloria fans spoke and Scandinavian Tobacco Group listened—again. For the second time, La Gloria Cubana’s parent company STG turned to La Gloria fans for input, and now the crowd-sourced La Gloria Cubana Society II is heading to retailers tomorrow.

The first La Gloria Cubana Society cigar, which was made entirely from Honduran tobacco leaves, was released in 2022. This year’s collaboration has a more multinational blend, rolled with a Honduran wrapper, Ecuadoran Sumatra binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. It’s a different size as well, measuring 6 inches by 50 ring gauge. While it’s slightly shorter and thinner than last year’s release, it’s considerably more expensive, with a suggested retail price of $12.99 (last year’s larger cigar was only $8.99).

The La Gloria Cubana Society Cigar II is produced by hand in the Dominican Republic at El Credito, a rolling gallery within the larger General Cigar Dominicana factory.

The new La Glorias come in 10-count boxes. According to STG, La Gloria fans were consulted on everything from blend to packaging to the size of the cigars.

“For this, our second ‘Society Cigar,’ we have created a smoking experience that reflects the collective preferences of La Gloria Cubana fans,” said Cory Beardsley, assistant brand manager for La Gloria Cubana. “This special release speaks to what this elite group of smokers currently looks for in a cigar, and we’re proud to bring it to life for them.”
