Stadium VIP Suites

Sports fans who love the energy of live games face a few downsides: being stuffed into a folding seat, exposure to the elements, having beer spilled on their shoulders from the lummoxes sitting behind them. There’s a better way. Luxury boxes across the sporting spectrum offer all manner of pampering advancements.

At Allegiant Stadium, home to the Raiders, the party that is Las Vegas need never stop. A partnership with Wynn casinos has created what is essentially a nightclub that runs the length of the north end zone. The Wynn Field Club has a DJ and reserved tables (from $5,000) with dedicated waitresses. Menu choices include a sushi pirate ship, tiered shellfish tower, 40-ounce dry-aged porterhouse and caviar. Think about it for the 2024 Super Bowl.

Fans of the Arizona Diamondbacks can beat the heat and forget their dismal season in the field-level Cremily Pool Suite at Chase Field. Besides the only swimming pool and hot tub in the Major Leagues (pictured above), it includes food, an in-suite attendant and team logo towels for each fan ($6,700–$8,700). At the other end of the climate spectrum, in freezing Finland, Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena includes a large sauna overlooking the hockey rink, complete with one-way privacy glass.

The multisport Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta just added eight Maybach and Delta Sky360° on-field terraces to be sold by the game (not just for club members and season-ticket buyers). The ground-level, open-air cabana style unit, with lounge seating, is field side with suite attendant, upscale food and adult beverages all included.

The perennial success of the pinstriped Yankees suggests something posh, and the Home Plate suites don’t disappoint with great views, indoor/outdoor plush seating, a removable glass wall, wood, stone and leather finishes, bars, TVs, in-suite bathrooms and custom scoreboard messaging—in case you want to propose.

Short on cash, but long on hotel membership reward points? Consider the Bonvoy Suite at LA’s Crypto.com arena. For between 30,000 to 75,000 points, two people can watch a basketball or hockey game in a suite that holds 12 guests (six two-person packages). Use cash to rent a room at the Courtyard by Marriott at Munich’s Allianz Arena and you can watch the game from bed.

The classiest trappings may be reserved for horse racing. At Louisville’s Churchill Downs, home to the Kentucky Derby, the trackside Winner’s Circle Suites include exclusive space for horse owners as well as private wagering stations and something you don’t usually see in sports—chandeliers.
