The Casa Magna Colorado Lancero Returns
Dominican producer Quesada Cigars has brought back the Casa Magna Colorado Lancero, but the long, thin, limited-edition smoke has returned a little shorter than the original.
Previously released annually for the holidays, the slim size hasn’t been made since 2011. Now, the company has brought it back and intends to resume its annual, holiday production. While the original measured 8 1/4 inches long, the new Lancero is more than an inch shorter, just 7 inches long with the same 40 ring gauge. The Lancero has a suggested retail price of $14 each and is shipping to retailers now.
“Lancero is always a fun but challenging vitola to develop,” says company patriarch and founder Manuel Quesada. “And even more when blending a Casa Magna. Keeping its profile as intense as a regular shape is what made this cigar so special to make and bring to market.”
Composed entirely of Nicaraguan tobaccos, the Casa Magna Colorado Lancero LE comes packaged in seven-count boxes, with production limited to just 1,000 boxes a year, or 7,000 cigars.
Like the rest of the Casa Magna Colorado line, the Lancero is rolled at Quesada’s Tabadex factory in the Dominican Republic.
