Alec And Bradley Rubin Joining Scandinavian Tobacco Group
Alec and Bradley Rubin, the brothers who are the namesake for the Alec Bradley cigar brand, are now formally part of Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG), which acquired Alec Bradley in March. At the time of the deal, their future involvement was expected, but not finalized.
They join their father, Alec Bradley founder Alan Rubin, who is working as an advisor on the Alec Bradley brand for STG. Jonathan Lipson, formerly the head of sales and marketing at the company, has also joined STG.
“I am excited to welcome Alec Rubin, Bradley Rubin and Jonathan Lipson to our marketing organization,” said Christopher Tarr, vice president of marketing of STG’s branded and rest of world division. “With their individual talents and combined experience in the handmade cigar category, I am confident that we will bring the Alec Bradley brands to their full potential, both in the U.S. and globally."
Alec Rubin has been named brand manager, strategic partnerships, while Bradley Rubin will serve as the face of the brand at events, and will also guide Alec Bradley’s creative direction, branding and social media. Lipson has been appointed to the role of senior brand manager at STG. In his new position, he will continue to steer marketing, product development and consumer engagement for the Alec Bradley cigar brands.
